Observing Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Uranus, and Mars simultaneously on the horizon in a single night is challenging. When multiple planets align and form a line, it creates an astronomical event. The more limited the portion of the sky, the more impactful the effect appears.
On March 28, just after sunset, the alignment of the planets will feature Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Uranus, and Mars as protagonists. This alignment will last for several days, with Jupiter and Mercury in the Pisces constellation, separated by one degree. Venus will be in Aries, and Uranus will be approximately two degrees away. Mars will be higher up in the Gemini constellation, near the first quarter of the Moon. The event will be observable just before sunset.
WOW!!!
ReplyDeleteNone of them will be visible against the bright sky before sunset. Jupiter and Mercury will set before it gets dark enough to see them.
