THE MAGNETIC NORTH POLE IS MOVING FAST

11:55 PM | , , ,

Earth’s magnetic field is fundamental to life, because it protects us from cosmic rays and lethal radiation from the Sun, which would otherwise sterilize the planet. This field is produced a few thousand kilometers below our feet by the movements that take place in the core, the same principle of dynamos.

For some years now, scientists have discovered that the Earth’s magnetic North Pole is speeding towards Siberia, eight times faster than the magnetic South Pole. Unlike geographic poles, which are stationary, magnetic poles move and are not diametrically opposed. The Magnetic South Pole is approximately 2800 kilometres from its geographic counterpart, while the North Pole is approximately 350 kilometres away.

the North Pole moves at a speed of about 37-72 kilometers a year, with a slight decrease in 2016, the speed of the South Pole is about 5-9 kilometers a year.

Analysis shows that the magnetic North Pole has left the northern territories of Canada and is heading towards Siberia, while the magnetic South Pole is moving more slowly towards the open ocean.

THANK YOU FOR THIS INFORMATION, WE OBSERVE THAT PROCESS ๐Ÿ‘Œ

May I see a 5-year and 3-year trend. I'm simply asking the question of whether or not the poles are moving incrementally quicker at an accelerating rate.
