Exploring the Universe's Mysteries with the Latest Space Telescope

The cosmic dance of galaxies and the universe's expansion have led astronomers to theorize about two unseen forces that significantly shape our cosmos - dark matter and dark energy. These enigmatic elements, though not directly detected yet, leave undeniable imprints on the Universe's grand scheme. To delve deeper into the nature and effects of dark matter and dark energy, we require a dedicated mission - a task entrusted to the revolutionary Euclid telescope.



A Time-Lapse Map of the Universe

The Euclid mission is set to pioneer a 3D universe map, where the third dimension is a representation of time. The farther a galaxy is, the longer the light takes to reach us, providing a glimpse into the Universe's early history. By observing billions of galaxies, up to a staggering distance of 10 billion light-years, scientists can monitor the position and velocity of galaxies across vast expanses, effectively charting the Universe's expansion over time. The Euclid's advanced optics will also uncover subtle distortions in galaxies' appearances. 


The extensive data acquired will enable astronomers to deduce the properties of dark energy and dark matter with unprecedented precision. This wealth of information will pave the way for theorists to decipher the nature of these elusive entities and enhance our comprehension of gravity's behavior over larger distances.
