StarShip, if it manages to fly, will become the most powerful rocket ever built by man. Standing 120 meters tall and equipped with 39 engines, it will also be the first fully reusable rocket, thus lowering costs from an economic standpoint.
Do not be disappointed if tomorrow's flight is postponed or if StarShip explodes at launch. Tomorrow's is in fact only a test and not a space mission, countless things could go wrong before, at or after launch. For this very reason, SpaceX has deemed it too dangerous to return the two stages of the rocket to the ground, so they will not be recovered for this time.
The first stage will be ditched in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, while the second stage will enter orbit 120 kilometers above the surface and will then be returned to the Pacific Ocean off Hawaii. Once ditched to avoid any risk the second stage will be detonated and then sunk.
The entire test in total is expected to last 90 minutes.
However this test goes, which Musk says has a high probability of failure, tomorrow will open a new door to human space exploration of the Moon, as StarShip will replace SLS, and of Mars.
