Venice: the low tide is starting to create serious problems for shipping

TO the last surveys, Venice is in "dry" as a result of a low tide that is beginning to provoke serious problems to the navigation and that it would have to continue at least until the next Tuesday.  The inner canals have become muddy streets, the boats are moored dry, the ancient foundations of the buildings can be very well viewed, even along the Grand Canal.

As explained by the municipal tides forecast center, the extraordinary nature of this phenomenon does not concern so much the measures reached under the tidal zero of the lagoon (we speak of -60 cm in the days passed and -56 cm to date) as its duration.

The most serious problems concern the emergency services, such as the Suem 118 water ambulances, which, for major reasons, had to stop before reaching the facilities for patients.
