CRACKS IN THE GROUND AFTER THE EARTHQUAKE IN TURKEY

The images were taken after the terrible earthquakes which shook Turkey and Syria. These are images that give a sense of the forces involved in these kinds of phenomena. The last pictures, recorded in the town of Tepehan, even show the formation of a canyon. The fissure in the Hatay olive grove is estimated to be about 300 kilometres long, 30 metres deep and 200 metres wide. Experts estimate that Turkey's land may have shifted between three and four metres as a result of the earthquake.
